International Boat Show - Feb. 26-28 February
26 brings the start of the 8th Annual Savannah International
Boat Show, held at the Savannah International Trade & Convention
Center on Hutchison Island. Friday hours are 12-6 p.m., Sat.
10-6, and Sun. 11-5. Tickets are $8 for adults, and children 12
and under get in free. Bring five canned food items to the
ticket booth for $2 off the ticket price; donations to benefit
America’s Second Harvest. Show features include fishing seminars, a
sailing symposium, tons of fun for kids, and, of course, great
prices on all your favorite boats and boat accessories. Visit

Offshore
deployment of subway cars builds reef for fish habitat If
you’ve ever been to New York and ridden the subway, maybe taken
the “A” from Penn Station, the car you rode in might now be part
of a man-made reef off the Georgia coast. In early January, 44
subway cars were deployed in our coastal waters to help provide
surface structure on the sea floor.
